God Wants The Best For Us

Being a Christian means that you are an ambassador for Christ.   The word ambassador means an authorized representative or messenger.  If you represent God, it would benefit us to be healthy in all aspects of life.

Philippians 4:19

19'And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.'

What ever your need is God can do it.  If you need to be healthier, God can do it.  If you need to work out God can do it.  If you are lazy, God can change you.  If you are struggling with getting results, God can help you.

Remember, God will meet all your needs, not some but all.

Detrimental State

Hosea 4:6

“My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.”

If you know not you have not.  Knowledge is power and if you are lacking information about a particular subject, find someone who can teach you.  This principle applies to living a healthy lifestyle.  If you don’t know how to workout or how to start living a healthy lifestyle, you should find a professional can assist you.  The more you know about living healthy, the better you can apply it.  So get the knowledge and be healthy.

Are you eating the right cereal?

Proverbs 1:4-6 (New International Version)

5 let the wise listen and add to their learning,
and let the discerning get guidance

Choosing the right cereal is not an easy task. There are so many choices. When choosing a cereal, you want to make sure whole grain is included. You also want to make sure the sugar content is low as well. Most cereals have too much sugar in it. This is why I just eat hot cereal now. Grits, Cream of Wheat or Natural oatmeal. The instant oatmeal has too much sugar.  Here is an article that will educate you on choosing the right cereal.

Your Heart is Counting On You

Do your Cardio, because your heart is counting on you.
Cardio fitness is to heart as bible is to Christian walk.

2 Timothy 3:14-17
All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. To have a healthy Christian walk, you must read the bible. This is something that you should do daily. Reading the bible renews your mind. It is for instruction, reproof, correction, motivation, etc……….. It will surely enhance and prolong your life.

To have a healthy heart, you must do cardio. To have a healthy Christian walk, you must read the bible. Cardio is the medical term used that to reference the heart. From Greek kardia: heart. Aerobic means with oxygen.

Cardio is used in reference to exercises and/or equipment intended for cardiovascular fitness and endurance training (aerobic exercise). "To do cardio", is a common usage of this term, which means to engage in running or other endurance training for a set period of time. Have cardio equipment at home is a great way to be sure to get it in.

Types of cardio Bike riding (any type of bike)

  • Dance class
  • Walking
  • Swimming
  • Any type of aerobic machine
  • Water aerobics
Your heart is the most important muscle in your body. Doing cardio benefits your heart. When you don't engage in aerobic exercises, your heart suffers. Make an effort to do some type of cardio 3-6 times per week. Even if you only do 15 minutes a day, that is better than not at all. Ideally, you want to do 30 minutes a day. It is a process so you must start somewhere.
Do your cardio, because your heart is counting on you.

Quote of The Week - Wisdom

Ecclesiastes 7:12 (NIV)

"Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor."

Ecclesiastes 7:12 (Amplified Bible)

"For wisdom is a defense even as money is a defense, but the excellency of knowledge is that wisdom shields and preserves the life of him who has it."

Be wise and get as much knowledge as possible. This will help you out with every aspect of life. God wants us to prosper and be in good health. Be wise and obedy the voice of the Lord and your life will be preserved.

Learn to love yourself

Mark 12:31
The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."

If you don't love yourself, how can you love your neighbor.

God loves you so you must love yourself. If you love yourself, you should take care of yourself. Eating healthy, working out, and getting rest are some of the keys to being and staying healthy.

Some people just want to love and others just want to be loved. You even have some that are actually ready for love. But to have all three is to be complete. To love someone is to be understanding when you don't want too. Love is an expression. To love someone is to look out for their best interest. You can be loved without even knowing that a person loves you. God loves each and every person on earth, but everyone does not realize this.

To be ready for love means to actually except that this person actually loves you. Loving someone is an action word. It should be displayed or manifested in some capacity. Learn to love yourself and take care of your body. For the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit.

God is Love

God the Father is Love - he created us to love, Jesus is Love- showed us how to love and to be loved, Holy Spirit charges us to Love - makes us ready for love. 'All three make love complete.'

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always persevere. Love never fails. ...When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me...And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. "

Food For Thought (Are you using the right spread?)

It can be very confusing at times when it comes to choosing a buttery spread. Some people like margarine and others like butter. When choosing a spread make sure you use a non-hydrogenated spread. The name brand that I use is Smart Balance. Anything that has "hydrogenated" in the first five ingredients isn't very good for you. So, if you want to be healthy and cut some fat, stay away from hydrogenated oils.
